Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda says India’s healthcare sector made unprecedented progress in 12 years
Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda today said that India’s healthcare sector has made unprecedented progress over the last twelve years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that a healthy citizen is the greatest strength of a strong nation.
In a social media post, Mr. Nadda noted that from Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY and Ayushman Arogya Mandir to various digital healthcare initiatives, quality healthcare facilities are reaching more people than ever before.
The Health Minister said that the expansion of medical colleges and the increase in MBBS and postgraduate medical seats are preparing a stronger healthcare workforce for the future.
He added that platforms such as Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, U-WIN, CoWIN and e-Sanjeevani have transformed the way citizens access healthcare services. Mr Nadda said that India has significantly expanded its advanced healthcare infrastructure, with the number of AIIMS institutions increasing from one to 23 across the country.
He further said that India is creating a healthcare system that is affordable, accessible and compassionate, ensuring a healthier future for every citizen.
