Oracle की बड़ी छंटनी

Oracle ने मार्च 2026 में अपने इतिहास की सबसे बड़ी छंटनी की। कंपनी ने करीब 20,000 से 30,000 कर्मचारियों को बाहर किया, जो उसके कुल स्टाफ का लगभग 18 प्रतिशत है। यह छंटनी अमेरिका, भारत, कनाडा और मेक्सिको में हुई। कंपनी के अनुसार इससे हर साल 8 से 10 अरब डॉलर की बचत होगी, जिसे AI डेटा सेंटर और हाई परफॉर्मेंस कंप्यूटिंग सिस्टम में निवेश किया जाएगा।

Meta का 'ईयर ऑफ एफिशिएंसी' प्लान

Meta ने भी अपने ईयर ऑफ एफिशिएंसी प्लान के तहत कुछ विभागों में छंटनी की। Reality Labs, Facebook, सेल्स और रिक्रूटिंग जैसे विभाग प्रभावित हुए। हालांकि पहले 20 प्रतिशत तक छंटनी की चर्चा थी, असल में यह कम रही। अब Meta AI मॉडल जैसे Llama और बड़े डेटा सेंटर प्रोजेक्ट्स में निवेश बढ़ा रही है।

Amazon और Atlassian की छंटनी

Amazon ने जनवरी में 16,000 कॉरपोरेट कर्मचारियों को निकाला, खासकर Alexa और फिजिकल रिटेल जैसे कमजोर विभागों से। कंपनी अब AWS और AI सेक्टर पर ज्यादा ध्यान दे रही है। Atlassian ने मार्च में 1,600 कर्मचारियों को निकाला, जो उसके कुल स्टाफ का लगभग 10 प्रतिशत है। कंपनी ने कहा कि इस बचत को AI रिसर्च और डेवलपमेंट में लगाया जाएगा।

Block Inc का चौंकाने वाला फैसला

Block Inc (पहले Square) ने फरवरी में 4,000 कर्मचारियों को निकाला, जो उसके कुल स्टाफ का 40–50 प्रतिशत था। CEO जैक डोर्सी ने AI से ऑपरेशन को ज्यादा एफिशिएंट बनाने का हवाला दिया। बाद में कुछ कर्मचारियों को वापस बुलाया गया, जिससे पता चलता है कि कंपनियां AI के बदलाव के बीच अपनी रणनीति लगातार बदल रही हैं।

AI के कारण बदलती नौकरी की दुनिया

2026 की पहली तिमाही में 100 से ज्यादा कंपनियों ने छंटनी की। अमेरिका सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित हुआ, जहां 32,000 से ज्यादा नौकरियां खत्म हुईं। ऑस्ट्रेलिया और जर्मनी में भी असर दिखा। फिनटेक, ई-कॉमर्स और एंटरप्राइज सॉफ्टवेयर सेक्टर सबसे ज्यादा प्रभावित हुए। कंपनियां इसे AI के लिए जरूरी बता रही हैं, लेकिन आलोचक कहते हैं कि मिड लेवल कर्मचारियों की नौकरी पर बड़ा खतरा है।

Among other highlights, Toman Kumar clinched gold in the compound men’s event, while Bhawna won the recurve women’s title. Toman defeated Australia’s Jonathon Milne 146-142 in the compound men’s final, while Bhawna outclassed Thailand’s Phattharaphon Pattawaeo 6-0 in the recurve women’s summit clash. 

Double Paralympic medallist Harvinder Singh had to settle for silver after going down 3-7 to Indonesia’s Kholidin in the recurve final, while Swati Chaudhary also claimed a silver, losing 3-7 to Ok Geum Kim of South Korea in the W1 women’s gold medal match. Earlier, Shyam Sunder Swami secured a bronze after edging past compatriot and Paris Paralympic bronze medallist Rakesh Kumar in a closely fought playoff in the compound men’s individual event. Rakesh ended his campaign in fourth place following the narrow defeat.

In the men’s triple jump, former Asian champion Abdulla Aboobacker secured first place with a leap of 16.82m. National record holder Praveen Chithravel did not compete in the event. Meanwhile, Sarvesh Kushare, who represented India at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, won the men’s high jump with a clearance of 2.23m.

Among the other standout performances, Baranica Elangovan impressed in the women’s pole vault, while Ancy Sojan narrowly defeated Shaili Singh by just two centimetres to claim the women’s long jump title. In the men’s javelin throw, Bibin Antony emerged victorious with a best throw of 77.53m.

The series will continue with its next meet in Udaipur tomorrow before moving to Sangrur and Ranchi for the following rounds next weekend.

अधिकारी की शिकायत पर हुई कार्रवाई

इस मामले की शुरुआत 26 जनवरी को हुई, जब आरएंडएलए सोलन की अधिकारी डॉ. पूनम बंसल ने पुलिस अधीक्षक को अपनी शिकायत सौंपी। जांच में पता चला कि 'वाहन पोर्टल' के साथ अवैध रूप से छेड़छाड़ की गई थी। कई वाणिज्यिक वाहनों के लोडेड वेट (भार क्षमता) में बदलाव, स्वामित्व हस्तांतरण और पंजीकरण में सरकारी नियमों को ताक पर रखकर धांधली की गई। पुलिस जांच में सामने आया कि आरोपियों ने आधिकारिक सरकारी नेटवर्क के बाहर के आईपी एड्रेस का उपयोग कर पोर्टल लॉग-इन किया। पंजीकरण लिपिक जितेंद्र ठाकुर के माध्यम से कई यूजर आईडी और मोबाइल नंबरों का दुरुपयोग किया गया। चौंकाने वाली बात यह है कि 'जितेंद्र' और 'डॉ. पूनम' के नाम से फर्जी यूजर आईडी तैयार की गई थीं, जिनका उपयोग बिना किसी मोटर वाहन निरीक्षक (MVI) की जांच के वाहनों के सत्यापन और अनुमोदन के लिए किया गया।

झंडूता का क्लर्क निकला मास्टरमाइंड

एसपी सोलन टी. साई दत्तात्रेय वर्मा द्वारा गठित एसआईटी (SIT) ने तकनीकी साक्ष्यों के आधार पर पाया कि इस पूरे नेटवर्क का मुख्य सूत्रधार आरएलए झंडूता में कार्यरत क्लर्क गौरव भारद्वाज है। गौरव ने राजकुमार उर्फ सन्नी, विकास सिंह उर्फ शालू, जितेंद्र और अनिल जैसे एजेंटों का एक सिंडिकेट बना रखा था। ये लोग वाहन मालिकों से मोटी रकम वसूल कर दस्तावेजों में हेरफेर करते थे।

करोड़ों का वित्तीय लेन-देन

वित्तीय जांच के दौरान मुख्य आरोपी गौरव भारद्वाज के बैंक खातों में करोड़ों रुपये के संदिग्ध लेन-देन का पता चला है। पुलिस इसे एक सुनियोजित आर्थिक अपराध और आपराधिक षड्यंत्र मान रही है। पुलिस थाना सदर की टीम ने 3 अप्रैल को त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए इस मामले में शामिल 6 मुख्य आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। पुलिस अब इस बात की जांच कर रही है कि इस गिरोह के तार विभाग के अन्य किन अधिकारियों या बाहरी राज्यों से जुड़े हैं।

On the 26th of last month, Mr Trump claimed that he had pushed back his deadline for Tehran to strike a deal with Washington or face more attacks at Iran’s request, even though the Islamic Republic has dismissed a US proposal to end the conflict as “one-sided and unfair”.

The report said that through these platforms, the terror groups propagate extremist ideology, aiming for mass radicalisation by employing “emotional and psychological manipulation” to influence children as young as 12.

The report further said that cyber-enabled terrorism has become a critical national security issue for countries in the Indo-Pacific region, especially in India’s Jammu and Kashmir, the wider Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, where end-to-end encrypted messaging platforms and online recruitment have connected a substantial percentage of youths to terror networks.

According to the report, in the Indo-Pacific, ISIS, its sympathisers, and other fringe groups are leading such campaigns.

It highlighted that the pattern was evident both in Australia’s Bondi Beach attack on 14th of December in 2025, and the Red Fort attack in New Delhi on 10th of November in the same year, where social media platforms were “systematically weaponised to radicalise individuals” in carrying out terrorist attacks.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, the fishermen were brought back as part of India’s continued efforts to ensure the safety of its nationals in the conflict-affected region. Earlier in the day, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, in a social media post, expressed gratitude to the Armenian government for facilitating the evacuation and thanked his counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan for enabling the safe transit of Indian nationals from Iran to India amid the conflict. 

Armenia has been facilitating the evacuation of Indian nationals in Iran. On Thursday, the MEA said that more than 1 thousand 2 hundred Indian nationals have been safely evacuated from Iran, out of which 996 moved to Armenia.

The World Food Programme said large quantities of food are delayed in transit. The International Rescue Committee has reported that medical supplies meant for Sudan and food aid for Somalia are also stuck. The United Nations Population Fund has delayed sending equipment to several countries, while the United Nations has termed this the biggest supply disruption since COVID, with costs rising by up to 20 per cent.

Key shipping routes, including the Strait of Hormuz, have been affected, while routes from major hubs like Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi are also facing disruptions. This has increased transport and insurance costs, forcing aid groups to use longer and more expensive routes.

Aid groups say the situation has worsened due to cuts in US foreign aid. Meanwhile, the conflict has triggered fresh humanitarian concerns, with nearly one million people displaced in Lebanon.

It said the leaders discussed the key deliverables under the India-Cyprus Joint Action Plan, with particular emphasis on deepening cooperation in trade, investment, innovation and connectivity, building on the momentum generated during Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Cyprus in June last year.

The Embassy noted that both sides further discussed progress in other priority sectors such as defence and security, renewable energy, digital transformation, fintech, and maritime cooperation, while also emphasising the importance of strengthening people-to-people linkages through academic and cultural initiatives. The Embassy added that both sides also exchanged views on enhancing coordination in multilateral fora, including European Union.

Talking to the media, Chairman of the Export Promotion Council for Medical Devices (EPCMD-India), R S Kanwar, said exemption of customs duty on critical petrochemical products will ease inflationary pressure and stabilise supply chains. He added that the decision will also address rising raw material costs, ensuring the availability of essential materials for medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and packaging. 

Meanwhile, Forum Coordinator, Association of Indian Medical Devices Industry (AiMeD), Rajiv Nath, also welcomed the government for reducing customs duty, stating that the move will benefit the medical device industry. He added that the decision reflects the government’s proactive approach in addressing the impact of the ongoing war and rising inflationary pressures.
