Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to Attend Mandia Dibasa Celebrations in Odisha

 

Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will visit Odisha today to participate in key programmes on enhancing farmers’ income, ensuring nutritional security, and promoting natural farming practices in the state. Mr Chouhan will attend the inaugural session of the Mandia Dibasa or Millet Day programme as the Chief Guest. He will highlight the Centre’s initiatives on this occasion to encourage the production, processing, and consumption of millets across the state and the rest of the country.

The Agriculture Minister will then visit the Sadar region of Cuttack to conduct field visits and hold direct interactions with farmers. He will also participate in a joint strategic meeting at the ICAR – Central Rice Research Institute on strengthening the implementation of key national agricultural initiatives.
