The Indian senior men's football team will take on five-time FIFA World Cup champions Brazil in a landmark international friendly at the Salt Lake Stadium on 3 October 2026.
The announcement was made by the All India Football Federation. It will be the first-ever meeting between the senior men's national teams of India and Brazil.
Ahead of their India tour, Brazil will play two international friendlies against Australia. The Brazilian side will face Australia in Townsville on 25 September, followed by a second match in Brisbane on 29 September, before arriving in Kolkata for the clash against India.
The match is expected to be one of the biggest football events ever hosted in India, giving fans a rare opportunity to watch the Brazilian national team in action against the Blue Tigers on home soil.
